Web application Guidance for Uncertainty Assessment and Communication
With the release of an interactive web application, the use of the MNP Guidance for Uncertainty Assessment and Communication has been made easier. All components of the Guidance (Mini-Checklist, Quickscan, Detailed Guidance and Tool Catalogue) are available in this application.

The Guidance for Uncertainty Assessment and Communication has been developed by Utrecht University and the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (MNP) with inputs from a multidisciplinary team of more than 25 uncertainty experts from all over the world (their knowledge has been assembled on NUSAP.net). In 2003 and 2004, the Guidance was published in four volumes:
- Mini-Checklist & Quickscan Questionnaire
- Quickscan Hints & Actions List
- Detailed Guidance
- Tool Catalogue for Uncertainty Assessment
Tool catalogue continuously updated
The Catalogue contains specific techniques that help the user in assessing uncertainties. The catalogue will be updated continuously with new techniques as they become available. Presently, it describes ten tools with which RIVM has worked in the past or plans to work in the near future.
