Energy and Climate

Energy and climate play a major role in achieving sustainable development goals. Historically, energy use and associated greenhouse gas emissions have increased rapidly. Still, nearly three billion people have no access to modern energy. This section focuses on the level of effort required to reach energy, climate and air pollution goals for 2050 and on strategies to achieve these goals.
