Consortium - Description
The resposibility of the realization of the WAB programme is accomodated in a consortium existing of PBL. The WAB programme is carried out in cooperation with six other institutes in the Netherlands.
The Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency houses the WAB secretariat.

Seven institutes are participating in the WAB-consortium. Within the consortium knowledge on the climate system and climate change is gathered. If necessary, additional experts from outside the consortium are involved in WAB projects. The Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) is responsable for implementation of the WAB program. PBL supports national and international policymakers by analysing the impacts of societal trends and policies on the environment. PBL provides independent integrated assessments on topics such as sustainable development, energy and climate change, biodiversity, transport, land use and air quality.
