Voor het berekenen van de verspreiding van luchtverontreiniging worden diverse modellen gebruikt. Deze sectie geeft een overzicht van de modellen die het Planbureau voor de Leefomgeving inzet voor haar berekeningen. Lotos-Euros beschrijft op Europese schaal de relatie tussen emissies enerzijds en luchtconcentraties en depositie op oppervlaktes anderzijds.
OPS
The Operational Priority Substances (OPS) model calculates the atmospheric transport of certain substances. The model is used by the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) to calculate atmospheric concentrations and depositions for the Netherlands, based on European emission data. The OPS website (in Dutch) provides a brief description of the model and presents its application. The model and describing documentation can be downloaded from the website (in the right-hand column, click on the OPS logo).
