The Geography of Future Water Challenges: the website
Water-related risks are increasing in many regions across the globe. Main drivers are rapid population growth and climate change. This storyboard aims to increase the awareness of the urgent need to tackle the challenges ahead.
An international study has developed scenarios to take stock of current climate actions on national levels and to compare them against the overall objective. The study shows thatcurrent national implementation of climate policies is still insufficient to achieve the overall Paris goals and would lead to around 5.5% reduction in emissions by 2030.
