Bij het Planbureau voor Leefomgeving werken circa 300 medewerkers. Dit zijn onder andere: biologen, (milieu-)economen, natuurkundigen, planologen, wiskundigen, sociologen, sociaal-geografen, bestuurskundigen en landbouwingenieurs. Deze medewerkers werken in verschillende inhoudelijke sectoren: Klimaat, Lucht en Energie; Water, Landbouw en Voedsel; Ruimtelijke Ontwikkeling en Leefomgevingskwaliteit; Verstedelijking en Mobiliteit; Natuur en Landelijk Gebied; Integrale Beleidsanalyse Leefomgeving; en Mondiale Duurzaamheid
Het planbureau is gevestigd in Den Haag, onder één dak met de andere planbureaus.

Researcher in climate scenarios and their uncertainties
PBL is looking for a highly motivated researcher to contribute to the FUTURA project. Together with the PBL and FUTURA research teams, you will develop and apply methods to develop climate scenarios and quantify uncertainty in emission pathways, changes in the physical earth system and climate impacts. Are you interested in analysing the main driving forces of climate impacts and related uncertainty? Then this is the job for you.
Researcher global modelling of nature restoration
PBL is looking for 2x researchers to join two new European research projects within the IMAGE and GLOBIO teams, NatureRestoreR and EcoNatures. You will work closely with a project team on land use, biodiversity, foods systems, and other related topics, including linking GLOBIO and IMAGE for a better representation of ecological restoration. There are two open positions, one focusing on biodiversity and ecosystem services responses to nature restoration using the GLOBIO model, the second focuses on integrated assessment modelling of nature restoration using IMAGE.
